Katharine Britten Howard was born in Simsbury, Connecticut, where she grew up with her older brother and parents. Having received January admission at Washington University in St. Louis, Katharine spent the fall of her freshman year in London, England where she studied Fashion Design at American Intercontinental University until her matriculation to Washington University. She is a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and is involved in various other organizations.

In 2005, Katharine spent her fall semester studying in Cairo, Egypt. There, she continued to learn Arabic and furthered her studies in Art History, one of the greatest inspirations for her designs.

Katharine Howard has been sewing original designs for 11 years. She focuses on dressmaking - classic pieces with a funky flair. She now does private commissions whilst attending Washington University in St. Louis.
